Snow Machine will span five resorts and a main stage location in central Hakuba, each with its unique charm and advantages. Let’s dive deeper into each area including Happo One, Iwatake, Tsugaike, and Hakuba Goryu/47.

Happo One

The most central resort in Hakuba, Happo One, played host to the 1998 Olympics downhill ski events. This rich history resonates as you hit the slopes, and guess what? It’s also home to our daily on-mountain après shows and our renowned first base stage. Add to this a plethora of bars and restaurants within walking distance, and you’ve got a buzzing, vibrant area perfect for Snow Machine goers. The main stage will be a short stroll from the centre of Happo Village.

Iwatake

Iwatake is ideal for intermediate and beginner-level skiers and boarders. It’s the proud host to Snow Machine’s largest On Snow Après Stage – The Après Chalet, making it a lively and dynamic choice. Here, you can also join in on numerous side parties during the event. And remember, our convenient shuttle bus is always ready to transport you to and from the Snow Machine main stage.

Tsugaike

Immerse yourself in the charming Japanese village vibe of Tsugaike. With its abundance of small bars and restaurants, this area provides an authentic local experience. Tsugaike boasts a Snow Machine Après stage and serves as the location for our official afterparties.

Offering 50% beginner terrain, 30% intermediate, 20% advanced, plus some of Hakuba’s best Tree Skiing and Backcountry, Tsugaike is a paradise for every skill level.
Our free shuttle will ensure seamless transit to and from the main stage.

Hakuba Goryu/Hakuba 47

Experience the synergy of two interlinked resorts, Hakuba Goryu and Hakuba 47. As the only area in Hakuba offering night skiing, you can keep the fun going well into the twilight hours. The village atmosphere is enhanced by an array of bars and restaurants.

Not to be outdone, this area also houses a Snow Machine après stage, promising a lively and memorable stay. And yes, our free shuttle bus will easily get you to and from the Snow Machine main arena.
